Job Description
The Electronic Security Systems Architect reports to the Director of Service Delivery. They are responsible for:
- Assessing the security needs of clients
- Designing electronic security systems to meet client needs
- Developing technical specifications for physical and electronic security devices (locks, window films, intrusion alarms, CCVE systems, access control systems etc) to support the tendering process
- Responding to design changes and client questions
- Oversight and commission of installed systems on behalf of clients
- Review existing systems and make recommendations for upgrades or the integration of new components
The Security Architect will have a strong technical background in security systems and is skilled in the most current installation, testing, termination, and maintenance procedures for commercial electronic security systems devices. (Access control devices, Intrusion Detection, Perimeter Fencing, Automated Gate, and CCTV systems).
Qualifications- Minimum of a College Diploma from a Building Technology program or equivalent. A combination of education and experience with the proven ability to perform the job tasks, may be accepted.
- 10 years' experience in security systems
- Technical Certifications: AMAG, GENETEC, LENEL an asset
- Certifications in: Working at heights, first aid, confined space
- Bilingual an asset
- Experience with smart building or building automation systems an asset

- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Secret Government clearance
